From the Desk of our General Manager
It's only April but already LATICRETE Australia has been involved in a number of projects, global initiatives, training and international travel this year.

Last month LATICRETE management team members from all over the globe met in Costa Rica for the annual International Team meeting. The meeting was around future plans, growth and goals for LATICRETE globally. Some of the team members stretched themselves personally during a zip lining exercise between treetops in the Costa Rican jungle, or others like myself, did a hike through the jungle.

We continue to focus on in-depth technical support to Architects, Engineers, Design Professionals, Installers and Tile Shop Personnel. In this newsletter, Fred Gray, LATICRETE Australia Technical Service Manager, provides an informative article on the importance installing movement joints.

This newsletter also features product spotlights, TAFE training, the new address for our NSW warehouse and interesting Project Spotlights.

Working With Movement Joints
Article by Fred Gray, Technical Service Manager

Fred Gray, LATICRETE Australia Technical Service Manager, provides an informative article on the importance of movement joints.

"The discussions on movement joints often hinges around the assertion that you should have them, and that’s a fact! And for good reason – everything moves, and that movement needs to be accommodated. From my student days in structures, I remember one of my engineering lecturers impressing on the fact that the structure is designed first and then further engineering is done to accommodate the proposed finishes in line with their abilities to cope with movement."
