In 2018, LATICRETE started the 'ONE LATICRETE ONE FAMILY' initiative where executives of the company visit all LATICRETE global locations to talk about the history, success, culture and future growth plans of the company. In February the 'ONE LATICRETE ONE FAMILY' tour was held in Australia - read all about it in this newsletter!

February was also an exciting month for LATICRETE Australia with the grand opening of the newly renovated R&D Lab and Training Centre, successful training seminars, and 2 new employees joined our team.

LATICRETE Global Initiative

Last week, LATICRETE Australia hosted the 'ONE LATICRETE ONE FAMILY' event. It kicked off with presentations from Emma Tschannen, General Manager of LATICRETE Australia, Henry B. Rothberg, Sr. Vice President Training of LATICRETE International, and Faisal Saleem, Vice President of LATICRETE International.

The Australian team then participated in a team build session, called ‘Bridging the Gap’, where they broke off into groups to work together to create a ‘Super Highway’. The challenge required the team to adapt, communicate and work together to be successful. Read the full story here.

Official Grand Opening
Renovated R&D Lab and Training Centre  

Recently the R&D Lab and Training Centre at LATICRETE Australia Head office in QLD received a make-over.

The R&D Lab had a beautiful new LATICRETE SPARTACOTE™ BLENDED CHIP floor installed. During the 'ONE LATICRETE ONE FAMILY' tour, Henry B. Rothberg, Sr. Vice President Training of LATICRETE International, officially opened the new lab with LATICRETE Australia R&D Manager, Dr. Surendra Patel, by cutting the ribbon.

Successful Epoxy Grout & Waterproofing Seminar

Knowledge is the Key to Success

On Monday, 5th February, LATICRETE Australia held a free waterproof & epoxy grout training day at LATICRETE NSW.

Attendees were actively involved in discussions and hands-on demonstrations using LATICRETE products, SPECTRALOCK® PRO Premium Grout* and HYDRO BAN® Waterproofing & Crack Suppression Membrane. Relevant Australian standards were highlighted, and participants were assessed and accredited. Read the full story here.

New Technical Sales Rep and Administration Assistant

We are excited to announce the appointment of two new employees to the LATICRETE Australia team, Robert Runje and Ingrid Flood!

Robert has joined the team as a Technical Sales Rep servicing Melbourne, VIC, alongside Erin Fraser.
Ingrid joins our team in helping support the administration team, while also assisting with bookkeeping.

Cairns is the most northern regional commercial centre on the Australian eastern seaboard and hosts nearly 2 million tourists a year who are drawn to the tropical climate and the Great Barrier Reef. Artists Philomena Yeatman, Edna Ambrym and Valmai Pollard from the nearby Indigenous community of Yarrabah were selected by the Cairns Council to produce artworks for a $700,000 public art mosaic project to be featured on eight walls around landscaped gardens in the main mall in Cairns. The Orchid Group (also known as Symmetry Mosaics) were appointed as the installing contractors, and Artistic Solutions Group were selected as creative consultants to ensure artistic integrity was maintained as the canvas paintings were translated into mosaics and adapted to the vast expanse of the eight walls.
